Construction of the “donauSEGEL” for Austria Center Vienna

The Austria Center Vienna (ACV) and its forecourt will be redesigned from April onwards to bring life not only to the high-rise buildings, but also to the ground in between.

The existing yellow canopy construction of the conference center will be dismantled.

A lattice-shaped, white canopy called “donauSEGEL” will be erected by 2020. In future, the square will be available to the general public as an urban meeting space during event-free periods. The donauSEGEL is intended to enliven the square between the high-rise buildings.

If required, the forecourt under the donauSEGEL can be closed off to form a hall with an area of 4,200 m2 and can also be used as an indoor location – for large international congresses, for example. A new access building, which will be built by 2022, will provide conference guests with additional entrances to the Austria Center Vienna.
