The “Sustainability Pavilion E-Trees” are solar trees that are equipped with solar cells and use the sun’s energy. The 18 trees with a height of between 10 and 15 meters rotate to follow the path of the sun and thus optimally capture the sun’s energy. They are part of the ... sustainability pavilion at EXPO 2020 in Dubai. Waagner Biro Steel and Glass designed and built the steel hulls and hubs using state-of-the-art 3D modelling software to optimize tolerances and coordinate movement.
