An exceptionally slender steel structure combined with wood to form a load-bearing unit, featuring tall, glass-enclosed floors—as the general contractor, Zeman & Co. brought together the expertise of the Zeman Group. Zeman & Co handled steel construction, timber construction, and coordination; ZEKON handled the production of the steel structure; and Waagner Biro steel and glass provided the glass building envelope.
The load-bearing structure, consisting of an external, uninsulated steel cage and an internal wooden core, required innovative solutions for design, production, and installation due to thermal requirements and low stiffness. To ensure the sharp edge of the perimeter beam’s front view, the steel structure was pre-assembled at the factory. The modular installation and the precise installation process ensured high efficiency while maintaining the highest quality.
