Investment in Zeman machines pays off. CULHAM Engineering, based in New Zealand / Whangarei, was able to take on one of the largest steel construction contracts ever awarded in New Zealand, not least due to the purchase of a fully automated steel beam assembly line (SBA).

For the “SkyCity – Convention Center”, 8,500 tons of steel will be used over the next few years.

Another prestigious project was also awarded to CULHAM Engineering in 2016: New Zealand’s most exclusive office building in Auckland’s business district – Commercial Bay – a 192m high office tower consisting of 37 floors and 6,500 tons of steel.

“We had been targeting these projects for some time and have purchased several million dollars worth of machines. We have gone out and invested. We know there is no one in this country that has what we have” – says Mr. Kirwan, Culham Engineering.
