As a family-run group of companies, we think across generations. For us, sustainability means being economically successful without jeopardizing the natural and social foundations of future generations. We act in a value-oriented manner – reliably, responsibly and with foresight.

Voluntary orientation towards CSRD / ESRS

Even though we are not obliged to report under the current EU regulation (Omnibus Regulation), we are already aligning ourselves with the European requirements for sustainable business practices. Voluntary reporting in accordance with ESRS is in preparation.

Resource efficiency & energy

Our sustainability strategy focuses on climate protection, resource conservation and efficient processes along the entire value chain. We rely on recycled steel, the purchase of green electricity at several production sites and technologies such as heat recovery and photovoltaics

Environmental management

Several companies in the Group have a certified environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001. One of our production plants also has an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for our steel construction products – as a transparent basis for environmentally friendly designs.

Progress through process optimization

A key goal is to continuously improve our processes—through the economical use of materials, short transport routes, modern planning tools, and the most efficient possible use of energy and resources. To this end, our production facilities use state-of-the-art machinery, some of which was developed in-house by Zeman—with the goal of processing materials precisely, automatically, and with minimal waste.

Safety as the basis of our work

Safety is not an add-on, but a prerequisite – especially for our fitters who work on construction sites across Europe. We invest in regular training, clear safety standards and high-quality protective equipment that goes above and beyond legal requirements. Protecting the health of our employees is our top priority in every project.

Social commitment

For us, responsibility doesn’t end at the factory gate. As a corporate group, we are socially engaged in a variety of ways—both regionally and internationally. This includes contributing to the construction of a school in Tanzania, supporting refugees from Ukraine with monetary and in-kind donations as well as employment opportunities, and participating in the construction of a facility for children’s cancer care.
